EVENT DESCRIPTION

International Wheelchair Day is an annual universal program of events and activities where wheelchair users celebrate the positive impact a wheelchair has had in their life. They also reflect and celebrate the pioneers who have helped to make the constructed world of cities and towns more accessible for people with mobility aid. It is also a time when celebrants acknowledge and respond constructively to the fact that tens of millions of people in the world still need wheelchairs to navigate but don't have access to one.
